Cab Door Testing
To ensure their cab doors are built to a high quality, JCB uses solenoids and pneumatics to open and close doors automatically and repeatedly over
thousands of cycles. Originally, operators would have to control the software manually and recompile any changes, very labour-intensive.
5 Control Stations
Utilising the HILTOP software, we adapted this to build 5 user-friendly control stations, removing the need for manual input and replacing with
start/stop buttons and a local touch screen graphical user interface.
Complete Traceability
JCB have been using this solution for a few years, every time a new vehicle cab is tested. Data is collected against the vehicle sub-assembly, and used for quality assurance, ensuring rigorous standards are met.
